About this Skyrim Race
You could say the Skyrim Argonians are a bit like the jack of all trades: a bit of magic, a bit of sneaking and a bit of stealing. The thing they lack are primary offensive skills. That is one of the major weaknesses of this race. Make sure you pick up one or two offensive skills early on so you can actually clear those dungeons…
Make good use of Sneak, Pickpocket and Lockpicking to gather a small fortune in thefts so you can get training in combat skills and you’ll be all set with the Argonians.
You can use Alteration so (greatly) influence both your own character’s aspects and the environment. Use it wisely to boost your light armor skills, transmute simple iron ore into gold and just mess with nature the way you see fit.
Restoration can be used to use heal yourself but also turn away the Undead. Keep that in mind if you’re surrounded by Draugrs.
In dungeons with a lot of water you can greatly benefit from your native water breathing skills. You don’t even have to activate this power, it’s just there.
How useful the “Resist Disease” skill will be remains to be seen as more information on the diseases present in Skyrim comes in.
Weakness of the Argonians
While Argonians make great sneaking character you can’t really put up much of a fight once detected unless you’ve invested time (and possibly money) in combat skills. Therefore a high sneak skill can save your life; kill before you get detected and you’ll be ok. If you are detected you might want to turn away and run for your life: Pick your battles carefully!
Also remember that Light Armor can certainly protect you from some damage, but it’s not quite as protecting as heavy armor. Don’t pretend to be a tank with this race as you are simply not cut out for it with the basic starting skills.
